What you need to do:
However, it is very important that you provide your aircraft number (tail number) when booking and that your flight is traceable via flightaware. Only when these two conditions are met, your driver can track your flight and update your pickup time according to your actual landing time.

Black City Cars offers you additional services if you enter your tail number:
Only if you enter the tail number your ride will be considered as an airport pickup and in accordance with our booking conditions you will benefit from extra free waiting time.

Please understand that additional charges may arise, if the expected time of arrival is significantly different to the actual landing time of the aircraft due to increased waiting times of your driver.
Please specify the selected FBO in the address field or in the comments field to help us to reliably coordinate the pickup.

If you expect time-consuming customs or wish to spend additional time at the airport after your landing and before your pickup, you can select the duration that you would like to stay at the airport during the booking.

Example: Your flight is scheduled to land at 3:00 p.m. and you plan an additional stay at the airport of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Add this information during the booking after you have entered your flight number. Should your flight be delayed by 20 minutes. Your driver will be waiting for you at 4:50 PM, which is 1 hour and 30 minutes after your actual landing time.

Please note: If you do not connect your flight with your ride, your ride will not be considered as an airport pickup and the above services will not be included in your ride.

If you need to extend your time at the airport for a meeting or other reason, you can plan your ride accordingly. When booking your airport transfer and connecting your flight number to your ride, you can select a duration of up to 2 hours to spend at the airport during the booking process. Your driver will add the duration to the actual landing time of the flight.

Only by entering your flight number you will benefit from the Black City Cars services for an airport pickup.
Those include:

  • Tracking of your flight status by your driver. In the event that your flight arrives earlier than scheduled or is delayed, your driver will plan your pickup accordingly.
  • Additional free waiting times of your driver in accordance with our booking conditions.
  • Meet & Greet with your driver in the arrivals hall.

 Fixed price calculations for the transfer and limousine services booked in advance

The prices for the transfer and limousine services bookable via the booking classes BUSINESS XL, FIRST, and BUSINESS VANS are fixed prices. This means these prices are final and include the local taxes. These prices are subject to fluctuations in demand and may change, even at short notice, depending on the time of the booking and region.

Additional charges may apply for any changes during the ride according to our booking conditions

No – tracking of trains is not possible.

The amount of luggage allowed depends on the vehicle class chosen. You will see an indication of the luggage allowance during the booking when selecting your veehicle class.

Our vehicle booking classes differ in the car model, the number of seats available, and the pieces of luggage that can be carried.

Premium Classes: BUSINESS XL, BUSINESS VAN, & FIRST

If you prefer a classic limousine services including a chauffeur professionally dressed in black with excellent English skills and a luxury car model, choose one of the premium classes. These include the classes BUSINESS XL, FIRST and BUSINESS VAN if you would like to have more space or require a service for more passengers.
Overall the premium classes offer you reliable ride services to a maximum comfort level including the following benefits:

  • Chauffeur professionally dressed in black and excellent English language skills
  • Luxury vehicles
  • A bottle of water and mints in your vehicle

If you would like a black limousine service please book either the FIRST, BUSINESS XL or BUSINESS VAN classes from Black City Cars. In these premium categories your driver will be professionally dressed in black and pick you up in a black limousine. While the service provided by the driver within BUSINESS XL, BUSINESS VAN and FIRST are the same, you will benefit from extra comfortable vehicles with more legroom in the FIRST class.

If you are travelling with a pet, please inform the driver by entering this information in the NOTES TO DRIVER field during the booking so that your driver can prepare accordingly.

Your comment must be in English or in the local language, so that your driver can understand and act accordingly.

The affiliated drivers endeavor to fulfill your wishes, however, Black City Cars can not guarantee free text input for special requirements in the NOTES TO DRIVER field.

A guarantee for a specific car model is not possible. The vehicle displayed during the booking are examples for the indicated vehicle class.

Montreal has a child seat exemptions for the Taxi & Limousine industry. According to the road traffic regulations in many other countries, driving with children may only be carried out with appropriate child seats. If this applies to your location, then please select the child seat type according to the weight of the accompanying children during the booking. If no child seat was specified at the time of booking, the ride cannot take place and will be charged at full price.

If you wish to add further instructions for your driver, you can do so by leaving a comment in the NOTES TO DRIVER field during the booking.

Destination Booking

In the case of a destination booking the service provided is a transfer from A to B. The driver will pick the passenger(s) up at the requested pickup location and drive the passenger(s) to the destination address entered during the booking. 

Booking by the hour

A booking by the hour gives passengers more flexibility when it comes to the destination address and route during the service. The driver will arrive at the pickup location at the time the service was scheduled and stay at the passengers disposal during the hours booked. Stopovers and destination can be decided spontaneously during the time of the booking.

Free included kilometres / mileage per booking 

For destination bookings all kilometres / mileage necessary to make the transfer from the pickup to the destination location are included.
Bookings by the hour include 30 kilometres / 20 mileage per hour booked free of charge. 

If the included kilometres / mileage per booking is exceed, additional charges apply according to our booking conditions
 

Each booking by the hour includes 30 kilometres/20 miles per hour free of charge. If the the included free kilometres/mileage is exceeded additonal charges occur according to our booking conditions.

If you have entered your flight number during the booking, you do not need to do anything.

We will track your flight and inform your driver of your updated arrival time, so your driver can plan accordingly.
The included free waiting time as well as cancellation times will be updated to your updated arrival time as well.

Unfortunately, we can not respond to flight diversions or flight cancellations.

Even though our drivers are still available for you, flight diversions and cancellations are often unexpected. If you have the opportunity, we recommend canceling the service immediately to avoid cancellation fees. In the case of flight diversions, you are welcome to use our service to order a driver at the new destination.

Unfortunately, we can not make any goodwill cancellations with flight diversions and flight cancellations. For more information regarding cancellation fees, please see our booking conditions .

The transaction on your credit card is simply an authorization to verify the coverage of the credit card in the amount of the expected ride fare. If the ride takes place, the credit card will be charged on the same or next working day after the end of the ride. If you cancel your ride without incurring any cancellation charges, the authorization will be automatically cancelled and no charges will be applied.

Our local Montréal services are currently calculated in CAD, depending on the origin of the ride. The currency is displayed throughout the booking process.

Payments for a booking are connected to the specific credit card selected during the booking process. After the ride has been completed, we are unable to change the credit card and re-charge the booking.

Your invoice will be generated after the end of your ride. We will send it to you via email and additionally you can download the invoice in your ride history on the website or in your bookings overview in the app. If several days have passed and you haven’t received your invoice, please check the booking profile you had used for the booking and make sure the correct email address was added. For further support, please reach out to our customer services team.

Extra charges may occur due to an extention of your waiting time or your free included kilometres / mileage. Extra charges are listed seperately on your invoice, so you have transparency on the amount and reason for each extra charges.

We will send you the drivers contact details via email and/or text message 30 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Additionally, your driver contact details will be updated in your booking in your Black City Cars account. You can review them by logging in to the Black City Cars app or website.

If you had a great ride with a driver on your previous rides and wish to meet this driver on your future rides again, the Favorite Driver feature is what you need to use. 

Favorite Driver

This features allows you to save a certain driver as favourite to you Black City Cars account. The next time you book a ride in the same area again, we will do our best to assign this driver to your ride.

Simply go to MY BOOKINGS in the Black City Cars app and click on the ride, on which you had this driver the first time. Add this driver as favourite and we will do the rest!

In Montréal, you can expect your driver to have both English and French language skills. If you wish your driver to speak fluently English, book one of the premium classes, such as BUSINESS or FIRST, where we guarantee English language skills of your driver.

Easily modify your ride details through the Black City Cars App. Log in to your account, open your upcoming ride, and click on “modify ride”. You can change your pickup time, pickup and drop off location, flight number, passenger details, and corporate details.

Please note that all changes are subject to a recalculation of the ride fare. Once you update your ride, the updated fare will be displayed for your confirmation. 

Please note that ride booking modification is currently only available via the Black City Cars app.

To cancel a booking please log in to your Black City Cars account on the website or in the app and go to your bookings overview. Open the booking you would like to cancel and click on “cancel”. Once you cancel a booking, we will send you a confirmation of the cancellation immediately via email.

Please note that cancellations via phone call alone to our support team is not possible. You will need to send an email to [email protected]  

To cancel a guest booking please open the booking confirmation email, which we have sent you immediately after your booking. By clicking on CANCEL RIDE you can cancel your booking. We will send you a confirmation of the cancellation immediately via email.

Please note that our cancellation policy may vary depending on the type of booking class selected. For exact information on our cancellation fees, please see our booking conditions .

If you login to your Black City Cars acccount or app you will automatically see all bookings that you have made with the same Black City Cars account. Importing of rides from another account is not possible.

If you would like to spontaneously extend the time that your driver is available for you, please let your driver know and the driver will decide whether this is possible depending on his schedule. Extra charges will apply in 1-hour blocks based on calculations of the hourly price of your booking.

We want you to be as comfortable as possible and enjoy your ride how you wish to.
While you can drink and also take advantage of the complimentary bottle of water in the premium booking classes, we kindly ask you to not consume any food in the vehicle, especially odor-intensive.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted only after prior agreement with the driver and by following the local laws. Should the passenger be too drunk and endanger the safety of the ride, the driver will stop the ride. If the vehicle is contaminated by the passenger, for example, by food scraps, cleaning costs can be calculated.

Stop-overs are possible if the request is indicated in the NOTES TO DRIVER field. A spontaneous stop-over during the ride will be possible only with the driver’s agreement. For stop-overs, additional charges for extra kilometer and waiting time may apply. Please refer to our booking conditions for further information.

In the rare event that you and your driver are unable to locate each other, we request that you are available on the phone so that we can arrange the meeting place.

Your driver will expect you on the doorstep of the scheduled address.

Pickup at a hotel

Upon pickup from the hotel, your driver will meet you in the lobby or in front of the hotel’s main entrance.

Pickup at the airport

For airport pickups, where a flight number was specified during the booking process, your driver will track your flight at wait for you behind the arrival gate. If you require to be picked up at a specific meeting point by your driver, please specify this in the NOTES TO DRIVER field.

Special Meeting Points

In very rare cases a special meeting point is necessary for you and your driver. If that is the case you will receive further information via email in advance.

Please contact your driver as soon as you realize your delay so your driver can plan accordingly. If the free included waiting time is exceeded, it is very important that you align on any additional waiting times with your driver. Black City Cars cannot guarantee a pickup on short-term delays which exceed the free included waiting time.

Each booking includes a certain amount of time during which your driver will wait for you free of charge. The amount of waiting time depends on the type of booking and region.
The individual amount for each booking is displayed during the booking process. For more information on our free waiting times and additional charges, please see our booking conditions .

Please try to reach your driver via the contact information, which we have sent you 30 minutes prior to your pickup as soon as possible. You can also find your drivers phone number in the ride details within the app or the website. If you cannot reach your driver, you can contact us via the phone number provided in the email or in the app.

In order to verify the coverage of your credit card, we will obtain an authorization in the amount of the expected ride fare. Once the ride has been taken place, the credit card will be charged on the following working day and the pre-authorization will be cancelled. If you cancel your ride without incurring any cancellation charges, the authorization will be automatically cancelled and no charges will be applied. Depending on your credit card institute it may take up to a few days, till the credit card authorization is cancelled on your account.

Please contact our customer service team for any changes to your payment and billing information for an existing booking.

If you would like to change payment and billing information for future bookings, simply open your booking profiles of your Black City Cars account in the app or on the website and adjust your information.

Our drivers are required to check their vehicle after every ride. Therefore, if any item has been left behind it should be safely retrieved.
However, we assume no liability for lost or damaged personal items left in any vehicle on our rides.
We advise you to get in touch with the driver as soon as you realize that you are missing something.

Your feedback is very important to us. You can leave a rating and a comment after every ride in the app or on web. Your rating and comment will be reviewed by our quality team and acted on accordingly. Additionally, please feel free to send your feedback to our customer service team at [email protected] any time. They will take care of your matters.
